A good practice is a realised idea or concept that works effectively, achieves its purpose and can be replicated. It can be in the form a project, campaign educational initiatives, etc.
As part of the activities of the “Changing with Climate” educational project, we did a review of various good practices in the field of education in the field of climate change and its consequences, as well as about initiatives ensuring a sustainable development for our planet.
The selected good practices are published in the “Library”, “Supplementary Materials” section of the Klimadapt educational platform of the “Changing with Climate” project . You can also find them in the Resources section of this website.
You will be able to find out about past and current activities in the field of climate change, climate education for students and youth, sustainable development, renewable energy, environmental protection and adaptation action.
A total of 21 good practices are presented – 9 from Bulgaria, 7 from the rich experience of the environmental association “Friend of the Earh Bulgaria” (Za Zemyata), 2 from the Norwegian project partner – the organization “Friends of the Earth” (Norges Naturvernforbundet) and 3 other international practices.
In our view, it is important to build on experience and learn from previous successful (and sometimes not so successful) initiatives in order to more easily and quickly implement desired climate change action and campaigning.
We would also like to direct young people, citizens and professionals to ongoing activities that can be a source of ideas and inspiration for taking personal or community initiatives.
We hope that through the materials produced we will help to expand the reach of climate change and sustainable development education in our country.
